Shipping Configuration


In the top right corner, you will find a section that will guide you through the configuration process of your store on EmpikPlace in three steps. After you set them up, you will be ready to sell on our marketplace.



SHIPPING CONFIGURATION

Remember that each customer has their own preferences, so the more shippselect the paing options you provide, the bigger customers' satisfaction is. Pay attention to it during setting up shipping options to extend your offer to different customer groups!

On EmpikPlace, you have the opportunity to: 
  1. select the payment method - paid in advance and paid on delivery,
  2. fill in up to 11 logistic classes, which allows a seller to set up shipping costs according to the aggreements with carriers,
  3. set up options of "Courier - Carry-in delivery," "Courier - Carry-in delivery and installation," and "Pallet delivery" for extra large items,
  4. set up free shipping for all order or set up minimum amount for free shipping.
Does Empik have partnership agreements with courier companies so I can use their services?
No, Empik does not have such agreements. Each merchant organizes shipments on their own. Default lead time to ship on EmpikPlace is 2 days. If it takes you longer to ship the products, remember to change the lead time to ship in order to avoid delayed shipment.

How can I ship items to Poland?
The most common shipping method used by foreign Merchants is courier. However, Polish consumers most often choose delivery through parcel lockers and pick-up points. In Poland, there are companies such as Polish Post, DPD, DHL, FedEx, Geis, GLS, Pocztex, UPS, and InPost, which has the largest network of parcel lockers in Poland.

How many days do Polish customers have to return an item?
14 business days. Poland has similar law to the rest of the European Union countries regarding the return policy.

Who covers the shipping costs in case of a return?
The Merchant themselves determines their returns policy and thus indicates who covers the shipping costs in the event of a return. Your shop's return policy should include this information and be available to customers. A template with Polish return policy is available here.

Do I have to provide a proof of purchase?
Yes, you should provide a receipt for all your orders. Moreover, you are lawfully obliged to issue an invoice for an order if a customer asks for it according to Polish law. Please consult this matter with your accountants.

How to set up shipping?

Your offers will not be active if shipping is not set up.

2. Go to: Settings > Shop > Shipping Configuration > Edit shipping charges.
3. Select a logistic class to which you will assign your offer later. There are 3 fields to edit next to your preffered shipping methods.
  1. The ”Rule” field –change it from ”Default price” (shipping for PLN 0) to “Overridden price.” It will allow you to edit the price for shipping. If you wish to no longer shipp products through this shipping option, set the field to "Disabled."
  2. The ”Initial price” field – fill it with the price that customers will be charged for this delivery method.
  3. The ”Additional price” field  only if a customer has to pay an additional price for every additional item they order
4. Save the change.



Remember!
Do not set up the "Carriers" tab as it may cause problems with updating the order statuses.
