Shoppingfeed - step by step

Shoppingfeed - step by step

⏱️ You'll read this article in about 8 minutes
Learn how to integrate your Shoppingfeed store with your empik.com account - how to add offers, import products and set prices.

Add an Empik account

  1. In the ‘Channels’ menu, select the ‘All channels’ tab, search for Empik in the list of platforms and click Connect.

  2. You’ll be redirected to the Empik login panel. A window will appear asking you to grant access to your store - simply click Confirm.
  3. After correct verification, the connected new channel will appear in the ‘Dashboard’ menu.

Import offers

We recommend you list your offers first, as some of the products may already be present in our catalogue. This will speed up the start of sales.
The first step is to set up the field mappings crucial for listing on Empik.
  1. In the ‘Channels' menu go to Connected Channels, select Empik and on the next sub-page select ‘Field Mapping’
  2. Here you'll find a table. The 'Field name' column lists the attributes required to create an offer.
  3. You need to map these attributes to the corresponding product attributes uploaded to Shoppingfeed (shown in the 'Change the field' column).
See the table below for more detailed description of each field.

    See table: Field mapping
All required fields are highlighted in green.

    No.

    4

    update-delete

If new products are being sold, set ‘static filed’ with a value of ‘11’. If, non-new products are also offered, please contact EmpikPlace support first.

    6

The field that corresponds to the SKU code must be mapped (alternatively the EAN code can be set)

    7

    price-additional-info

    Leave blank.

    9

    11

    available-start-date

    20

Leave blank.  To be completed in case of sale of non-new products (yes, no or blank)

  4. Once the fields have been mapped, include the products for import in the ‘Selection’ menu and click ‘Update’ (the top of the page).

Discounts

In order to set discount prices in Empik:
  1. Add at least one field with the discount price (discount-price) to your source file (or Supplemental Feed).
  2. Optional: You can add two additional fields with the start and end time of the promotion (discount-start-date, discount-end-date).
  3. Map these fields in the Field Mapping section according to the instructions in the 'Offer Import' chapter.
See the additional fields in the table:

15

discount-start-date

Format:  YYYY-MM-DDT00:00:00.000+02:00

16

discount-price

Discount price (should be lower than main price)

17

discount-end-date

Format:  YYYY-MM-DDT00:00:00.000+02:00

If you don't add the end date, the promotion will continue until the value is removed from the product source feed.

Import products

If you have products that are not yet available in the Empik catalog, you can add them manually.

  1. In Channels, select Empik, and then in the Selection section assign Empik categories to the categories from your source feed.
    Categories from your
source feed (left side) are matched by searching for the corresponding Empik category on the right (enter a keyword and choose from the list).
The list of categories will be in Polish.

  2. Once all categories are assigned, proceed to attribute mapping. To do this, go to the “Autotag” tab.
  3. You will see a view where you can map attributes either:
    1. by store (source feed) category,
    2. by marketplace category.
The second column also shows the mapping status of the required parameters.
  4. To start mapping, choose a category or switch to mapping by marketplace category. The mapping process is identical in both cases: for each marketplace attribute, assign an attribute from the marketplace to an attribute from the feed source or enter a fixed value.

All fields marked as Required must be filled in.
  5. You can easily search for attribute tags by typing the first characters of the tag - Shoppingfeed will display a list of matching tags. Tags are always wrapped in brackets {x}. This ensures that values from product data in Shoppingfeed will be inserted.
    See tags

If you want to assign a constant value for an entire category, simply type the value directly into the field (without brackets).

  6. Some fields include predefined dropdown options. In such cases, values assigned to products in your Shoppingfeed catalog must exactly match the allowed values on Empik.
If the values in your feed match those used on Empik
If the values in your feed already match those used on Empik - simply map the field.

    If the values differ
If the values differ, the source file must be updated or the appropriate value can be selected from the list:

That way you will assign the same values for the entire category.
  7. If you only need to do this for 1 product, select the product from the list on the left and then map the attributes only for this product (click on the ID).

After making changes select the ‘Back to product list’ button.

More information on the mapping of ‘Autotag’ attributes can be found here.
Attribute values can also be manipulated by automatic actions (‘Rules’ tab). More on this here.

Changes are saved automatically. Once the categories and attributes have been mapped, the product import can be sent by clicking on the ‘Update’ button at the top of the page and, as in the case of offers, the import sending can be monitored there. To check if the import was successful, go to Empik Seller Panel (Catalogue > Product Imports) and check if the product import contains errors.
