Sponsored Products – A Guide

Sponsored Products – A Guide

What are Sponsored Products?

Sponsored Products are one of the advertising formats available within Empik Ads, designed to boost the visibility and sales of your listings. They allow your products to appear in the most visited areas of Empik.com.
Each campaign can include only the top 3 offers of a given product. Even if you have more active offers, only the best-performing ones will be eligible for promotion.

Where Do Ads Appear?

Sponsored Product ads can be displayed in three key locations:
· Department pages, such as Books, Music, Electronics
· Category listings, where users browse themed collections
· Product detail pages, as suggestions for alternative or similar products
· In advertising networg: in Google search results and shopping

Payment Model

The system uses a CPC (Cost Per Click) model — you pay only when someone clicks your ad.
You can choose between two bidding strategies:
Max CPC
· You define the maximum cost you're willing to pay per click.
· Ads are shown only if the system can serve them at this rate or lower.
Target ROAS
· The system adjusts bids dynamically to achieve your average Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) goal.
· Click costs may vary, but the algorithm optimizes for the target performance.
If you're unfamiliar with CPC or ROAS, visit our Key terms in the Ads Panel article to clarify important metrics.

How Are Ads Selected?

When a page with an ad slot loads, an auction is triggered. The system compares eligible ads based on:
· CPC bid amount
· Ad quality, including historical performance, attractiveness, and engagement
A ranking is created, and the ad with the highest score is displayed.
You are charged only when a user clicks the ad.

Budget Planning Options

You can choose from two budgeting models:
Daily Budget
· Set the amount you're willing to spend each day.
· The campaign can run indefinitely, and the budget is adjustable anytime.
Total Budget
· Set a total campaign budget upfront.
· The system allocates spend over time, and the campaign stops once the budget is used up.
